Experience

I have diverse counselling experience through charitable organisations and private practice, working with clients experiencing a range of psychological issues, difficult emotions, Adverse Childhood Events (ACEs), trauma and attachment issues.

I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families dealing with chronic illnesses, helping them cope with the overwhelming emotions that come with the complexities of such struggles. Additionally, I have worked with individuals adapting to life-changing injuries and progressive illness, providing support during times of loss, grief and palliative care. Counselling carers to help navigate through their hard journey using compassion-focused therapy. I have also worked in a mental health ward, providing care and support to individuals facing serious mental health issues and complex trauma, and worked in community settings.

Furthermore, I have experience working with individuals with neurodiverse conditions such as ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, and other neurodevelopment conditions. I have undertaken training in this area, additionally, having lived experience myself and within a family setting.
